Who is Eugen Steier

 

Eugen was born in 1977 in Tashketn, Uzbekistan (ex URSS).

His family has German origins and in 1988  they moved  to Germany.

In 1999 he began his studies as Goldsmith  in "The Profesional Goldsmith and Glass School" in Neugablonz, Germany.

He finished his studies in 2002 when he was rewarded as the best student of his year. One year later he also graduated as Silversmith in the same school.

After finishing his studies, he moved to Barcelona in order to gather inspiration and profesional experience.

From 2003 to 2008 he worked for a jewellery designer in Barcelona as freelance.

Thanks to his excelent recommendations, in 2005 he was invited to teach as Silversmith Profesor in "The Visual Comunication and Art Center in Lisboa, Portugal (Ar.Co). 

In 2005 he returned to Barcelona and began to give Goldsmith workshops at "La Asociación Cultural La Casa de la Espiral", of wich he is also a co-founder.

In 2006 he cooperated in the production of a jewellery design  book called "Diseño de Joyas paso a paso" of Maomao Publicaions in which he also was featured as an artist.

In 2008 Eugen started working at his own workshop and selling his collections to other jewellery stores. But soon he realized that he desired to open a Workshop which is open to customers, where he can sell his jewellery and teach at the same time.

In 2012 YolanCris invited him to cooperate with their company at the fashion show "080 Barcelona", where  Eugen Steier Jewellery and YolanCris dresses were shown on a catwalk. 

In February 2014, he finally opened his own jewellery workshop in neighborhood "Borne" in Barcelona. In this new space, he designs, produces and sells handmade one-of-a-kind jewellery and limited edition collections. 

Due to his flexibility, creativity and experience, Eugen Steier is an  artist who expresses himself through his work by giving each piece his own personal touch.
